Florida School Cancels Witchcraft Series After Pressure from Christian Group

MagaDailyNews.com reports—School cancels witchcraft series after Christian group pressure. In a significant development concerning religious freedom in public education, West Orange High School in Winter Garden, Florida, has discontinued its “Witchy Wednesday.”

A video series following pressure from the Christian legal advocacy group Liberty Counsel. The series, which featured student-produced segments on topics such as spells, moon worship, and rituals, had been airing during the school’s mid-week morning announcements. Clearly, this is evil and goes against all Judeo-Christian beliefs.

Liberty Counsel, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing religious freedom. Argued that the content of the series amounted to “religious instruction” and infringed upon the rights of Christian students. In a letter to Orange County Public Schools (OCPS).

The group demanded that the school allow students to opt out of viewing the series. And warned that the videos violated Supreme Court precedents protecting religious freedom. Moreover, these freedoms are still demonic in the eyes of Christianty.

According to Liberty Counsel, the first video in the series, which aired on September 10. Began with the greeting “Good morning, witches.” And proceeded to provide guidance on casting a “Light of Insight” spell and conducting a personal cleansing ritual. The group contended that such content placed students with Christian beliefs in a difficult position. As it was seen as conflicting with their faith.

Mat Staver, founder of Liberty Counsel, emphasized the importance of protecting students’ rights to religious expression. “Christian students and parents have a right not to participate in religious practices that contradict their faith,” Staver stated. “The First Amendment protects their right to opt out and to share their views equally.”

Following the complaint, OCPS directed West Orange High School to discontinue the series. The district’s general counsel, John C. Palmerini, sent a letter to Liberty Counsel’s attorney, Richard Mast. Confirming that further segments of “Witchy Wednesday” would not take place. Palmerini explained that the segment was considered “government speech.”

Delivered over the school’s television system and under the supervision of school faculty. Which could be construed as a violation of the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. In contrast, it is common knowledge far left liberal educators have infiltrated our school systems.

Liberty Counsel has requested a written response from OCPS by September 30, but as of now, the school district has not publicly commented on the matter. Futhermore, it is unknown if the school district will ever respond.

This incident has sparked a broader conversation about the balance between free expression and religious neutrality in public schools. While some argue that such content promotes inclusivity and diversity, others believe it crosses a line by endorsing practices that may conflict with certain religious beliefs. After all, freedom of speech is over broad and is vague as it relates to religion. Consequently, Christain parents and students will fight vigorously to end this school pratice.
