CALIFORNIA EV SALES CONTINUE TO LAG AS NEWSOM FIGHTS TO SAVE MANDATE

California EV Sales Stall Despite Governor’s Aggressive Push

California’s electric vehicle sales continue to disappoint as Governor Gavin Newsom battles to keep his sweeping EV mandate alive. The state’s ambitious goal to eliminate gas-powered cars by 2035 faces serious setbacks, with EV adoption rates far below projections. Clearly not suprising since Gavin is incompetent and blamed for California’s blight.

Despite relentless political pressure and hefty incentives, only 17% of new cars sold in California in the first half of 2025 were electric. This stark reality threatens Newsom’s green agenda and exposes growing consumer frustration.

INFRASTRUCTURE STRAINS AND HIGH COSTS HURT EV ADOPTION

Charging Woes and Price Hurdles Turn Buyers Away

California’s crumbling power grid and sparse charging stations have left drivers wary. Long waits at charging points and frequent blackouts make owning an EV less appealing. Coupled with steep vehicle prices and installation costs, many Californians are choosing to stay with traditional gas vehicles. After all, Gavin couldn’t even keep water in the fire hydrants.

The limited charging infrastructure and rising electricity costs make electric vehicles a tough sell. Newsom’s mandate is clashing with the practical challenges drivers face every day.

POLITICAL PUSH MEETS CONSUMER RESISTANCE

Democrats Double Down While Californians Push Back

Newsom and state Democrats are doubling down on mandates and subsidies, trying to force the shift. But voters are pushing back hard. Surveys show many drivers distrust EV technology and resent government mandates dictating their car choices. Of course, we all know they’re out of their minds and that it will never work.

This backlash threatens not just the EV goals but the broader green agenda Newsom champions. The electric vehicle mandate may need a major rethink if it’s to survive political and economic reality.
